We headed over to the Denver Art Museum Yves Saint Laurent to get a tour of the hundreds of the beautiful pieces Laurent designed over his career. It was one of the most beautifully curated exhibits I’ve ever been to, and something I would highly suggest to experience (except somehow Denver was the only American stop on its tour).
Interesting facts I learned about Laurent:
- He was one of the first designers to use ethnic models in his runway shows
- He was famous for introducing the tuxedo suit for women (therefore bringing pant-suits into the light for women)
- Was the first French couturier to come out with a ready-to-wear line
